Course Description

This course is designed to provide a foundation in essential math skills that can be used in a variety of real life examples. This course has both a classroom and hands on component.

Fabrication

Materials

Bring to class everyday:

Pen or pencil

Binder

Ruler

Calculator

Evaluation

Term 1    40%                       Quizzes 45%

Term 2    40%                       Projects 45%

Final Exam 20%                Class Marks 10% (attendance, participation, and use of time)

 

Due to the nature of the course with so many hands on projects, attendance is necessary. If you miss more than 10 classes, you will be required to write a final exam worth 50% of your final grade.

Class Rules

Be on time.

Turn phones off.

Put mP3’s, iPods, etc away.

Remove hats.

Watch language.

 

Remember, we are here to learn so come to class prepared for the work and activities of the day.
